As a qualified Dru Yoga teacher, I thought I had a good understanding of asana and the koshas - which of course I did, but the APD course has taken that level of understanding and more importantly my personal experience of my yoga practice to a different level.
The course took me on a journey through the koshas in a way that not only increased my awareness of how I experience asana but also how to use asana to reshape my experience. With the support and guidance of the tutors, I was able to revisit the asana I previously avoided which has contributed to my body being stronger and more flexible than at any time since my twenties - and I now love to practise those asanas.
Emotionally, it has helped me process difficult emotions such as grief and shown the way to change self-limiting beliefs. For me, the real gift of the course was the tutorials which became the foundation for building a supportive sangha of wonderful yogis which continues to exist. It was during these sessions of deep personal sharing that our fantastic tutors were able to share further their incredible wisdom and answer the many questions that inevitably spring forth in any process of swadhyaya - I highly recommend this course!

Knowing the benefits that Dru Yoga had for me, I then went on to teach both Dru Yoga and Meditation, I found that Dru Meditation took my practice to another level, I became a much calmer person, slept better, my outlook on life changed, my love for nature increased, what I found astounding was when I began teaching meditation, was watching, over the course of time the wonderful changes in people, it was almost like they were blossoming !
So many of my students told they felt so much better since beginning to meditate.

The decision to join the Spirituality of Yoga course came to me unexpectedly and after some hesitation. I'm so thankful that I did!
The practices have affected me, some very deeply, in a way that feels more certain and deep than anything else I've done; awakening new awareness but also drawing me back to long held understandings that had slipped from my life. Most of all, at this time in my life, in the world, it has helped to experience deep stillness and steadiness, with a renewed compassion for my self as well as others.
On a practical level, the online course fits in easily with daily life, with a balance of learning, practice and space to absorb one thing before moving on. The videos are all there to go over as many times as needed - and also to return to the energy of the live sessions.
The support throughout is amazing, steady, generous and infused with love, joy and a lot of laughter! It's been wonderful to feel closer to our amazing tutors and the wider community on the course. I learned so much in my first module of the teacher training about Dru Yoga. I love the graceful, flowing movements and the way my body feels after a Dru yoga session. It is very different from any other style of yoga I have ever done. Your body feels more flexible and energised and your mind feels calm and relaxed. I loved every aspect of the course. It was well delivered with a good mix of theory and practical sessions each day. The books given as part of the course are excellent.
