The Yogic Science of Easing Zoom Fatigue! - a group mentoring with Andrew

28 September, 2023
(Registration open till December 2025)

Are you over-cooked on Zoom? What if you could transform your time online so you feel energised, connected and alive?

This group mentoring is for you if you teach classes, run groups or attend meetings and courses online, and want to learn how to apply insights from yogic science to transform your time spent at the computer.

Most of us can't drop our online activities - this new online world isn't going away - so how can we make the best of it? Or maybe even befriend it?

It turns out that there are amazing yogic solutions to Zoom Fatigue, and some of them are really exciting! Some of these solutions reach deep into the heart of your experience of your subtle energy body and show you new ways to reach into your higher koshas, your higher levels of consciousness.

In this interactive group mentoring, Andrew will help you find great solutions to your online experience. Together, we'll combine very practical understandings of the physical laws governing how you feel around a computer with Dru's deep understanding of the higher koshas.

We'll start by exploring ergonomics in a whole new way, and then go on to discovering how to create a nurturing, nature-style presence in and around your computer and its backdrop.

From there, we'll explore your subtle body's experience of teaching or being in a group online. The possibilities here are exciting! We'll interact personally and explore how being online affects your pranic, emotional and knowing layers of awareness. You'll have a chance to explore how you hold your attention and energetic processes when online. In this, we'll discover that some of us may be unintentionally be interacting with our energy body in ways that are profoundly energy-draining.

Where that is the case, the solutions have the potential to be far-reaching.

I hope we'll discover ways of understanding the needs of your students, your group members or your own body in ways that take you far beyond your subtle energy body and into the heart of soulful being. It's possible in this mentoring you could uncover new ways to access your intuitive understanding of people's needs. It's even possible you could learn how to be with people directly from manomaya kosha or even higher. If so, this could be a most special turning point. It would lead to a tremendous increase in the energy you have available within an online class, and indeed throughout many arenas of your life.

Welcome to an opportunity to take your online experience to a whole new level. We aim to help you make your online experience as vibrant as possible, and far beyond that, we hope you might discover potentials you never knew you had!

Andrew has been a prime architect of Dru's online teaching, and in this group mentoring aims to help you find your own solutions to being online that work for you.

Ayurveda Retreat

Booking myself on to the Dru Ayurvedic Weekend Retreat is one of the best spontaneous decisions I’ve made in a while. I have a reputation for leaving things until the last minute, in this case I booked my place just an hour before it began! I guess that’s one of the benefits of an online course - I didn’t have to physically get there, just make sure I was out of my PJs before the Zoom meeting went live!!!
After a few weeks of lockdown and spending perhaps a little too much time reading and watching the news, this online retreat gave me a much needed boost of positivity. It was wonderful to connect with all the other people who were attending, to see so many smiling faces, some new and some familiar.
The content of the course was superbly presented - a good balance of ‘live’ face to face information sharing, question and answer sessions, some ‘live’ yoga, meditation and chanting and then a series of pre recorded videos to watch. We were given plenty of short breaks throughout the day and a nice long lunch break, time to eat, read our notes, watch the videos and get outside for some fresh air.
Alongside the Zoom live video there was excellent support for anyone with technical problems, via the chat box, email or telephone. The chat was also a place to ask questions and share information.
The Dru Team did a great job of putting this weekend retreat together and I wouldn’t hesitate in joining them for another online course in the future. Obviously if I had the choice I’d prefer to be there in person, but this really is a great alternative until we can do that.

What I'll take away from today's postgrad workshop:- sharing with other yoga teachers from other yoga schools of yoga. Great explanation of the koshas and I'll add Salutation to the 4 Directions to my lessons.
