Dru Yoga classes with Palvinder Kaur (Fourth of four)

27 March, 2023
(Registration open till December 2025)

Come and join Palvinder in the last of 4 weekly class where she will take you through a fun yet an explorative journey through another of her favourite Dru Yoga sequences known as "Shiv-Shakthi sequence" which helps us to explore how we can start to align our masculine and famine energies to create an equilibrium within us.

In this session you will have the opportunity to explore specific "Shiv-Shakthi sequence" in depth, by not only looking into the postures both at a physical level but also how you can look into the subtler levels of your experience by emphasising on mudra (hand gesture) and visualisation to help to create subtler changes within from the body and mind.

This class is suitable for anyone who would like to activate their curiosity and be open to experience Dru Yoga through the subtler levels of experience yet also working on stability and mobility.

Join Palvinder Kaur in all or as many of the 4 online or in person Dru yoga classes, Monday evenings from 7pm to 8.15pm.

  • 6th March
  • 13th March
  • 20th March
  • 27th March

Brief insight to the 4 sessions:

On 6th March join Palvinder as she takes you through the beautiful Dru Yoga sequence known as “The Seat of Compassion” which not only can work on strengthening our physical body, specifically the legs and the core in the spine but it also helps improves mobility in the spine and works on our nervous system to create a balancing effect on the body and mind to help rest and play.

On 13th March Palvinder aims to take you through an introductory journey into Dru Yoga Dance sequence. Together you will dive into a form of expressive playfulness through yoga postures.

On 20th March – Lakshmi Namaskar - This sequence is almost like a moving prayer, an intention to awaken & connect to those qualities to help us manifest all things that is important. It can helps us  to attract what is important to us, that which is abundant in our health, relationships, work, energy levels and our spiritual life. Whilst we do the sequence I invite you to have an intention, an intention to awaken the abundance within you so that radiate, attract and manifest that what is important to you.

On 27th Match – Shiva-Shakthi Sequence - This sequence is a combination of powerful, both at a physical and subtle levels, postures and movements to create vertical alignment activating the first 3 energy centres and then allowing that awareness to rise up towards the heart.

Each class will be fun and consist of:
•    activations and stretches to prepare your body
•    yoga postures
•    Discovering the magic of each Sequence
•    guided deep relaxation to help you achieve a feeling of peace and harmony.
•    we will complete with some breath work

We hope you will join us!

About Palvinder:
Palvinder experienced the magic of Dru ten years ago when she first drove to Snowdonia Mountain Lodge not knowing what she would find!

Within two weeks she was on the Dru Yoga TT course and has fallen in love with Dru ever since, especially the Dru Yoga Dance.

Palvinder loves how Dru Yoga encompasses the whole person and works with the koshas, the breath, affirmations, visualisations and relaxation.

She likes how Dru Yoga enhances the experience by applying other modalities such as the principles of Ayurveda, and exercise concepts without losing it’s own unique essence.

Palvinder is a Dru Yoga, Dru Meditation and Dru Yoga Dance teacher.

She is a Back Care & Wellbeing tutor who has completed the Advanced Practitioner course.

Palvinder is currently training on the Dru Yoga Therapy Course and is a trained Ayurvedic massage therapist.

If you are a member of the Dru Professional Network you will be able to accrue 1 CPD hour for attendance at this event. Attendees from other yoga schools will need to check individually for their own CPD credits.

Dru Yoga teacher, West Yorkshire

As a qualified Dru Yoga teacher, I thought I had a good understanding of asana and the koshas - which of course I did, but the APD course has taken that level of understanding and more importantly my personal experience of my yoga practice to a different level.

The course took me on a journey through the koshas in a way that not only increased my awareness of how I experience asana but also how to use asana to reshape my experience.  With the support and guidance of the tutors, I was able to revisit the asana I previously avoided which has contributed to my body being stronger and more flexible than at any time since my twenties - and I now love to practise those asanas.

Emotionally, it has helped me process difficult emotions such as grief and shown the way to change self-limiting beliefs.  For me, the real gift of the course was the tutorials which became the foundation for building a supportive sangha of wonderful yogis which continues to exist.  It was during these sessions of deep personal sharing that our fantastic tutors were able to share further their incredible wisdom and answer the many questions that inevitably spring forth in any process of swadhyaya - I highly recommend this course!

This course teaches yoga which everyone can do at all levels and stages so it’s really accessible. The teachers are real pros and have amazing experience to back up the knowledge. My personal practice has improved a lot, so has my memory, concentration, calmness and alertness. I also made very strong friendships with like-minded people.

Nice sociable, friendly day. Great mix of activity and relaxation - positive atmosphere. I enjoyed all aspects. Hope I can remember some things to add to my yoga practice. The workshop was well organised and planned - all running very smoothly. All teachers very enthusiastic, confident and reassuring.
