Yoga Nidra - Awakening into the Self

1 August, 2020
(Registration open till December 2025)

Now available as a recorded event!

Dru Yoga Nidra is the silence that follows OM. It’s a journey that leads to samadhi and ultimately to turiya itself. In other words it’s a path to the state of enlightenment.

These very special two days of practice give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the bliss of relaxation, and at the same time discover how to use the state of profound rest to achieve your goals, transform old patterns, develop radiant health.

As you travel through the sessions, you'll find that the experience, philosophy, science, and practice of these ancient teachings have the potential to awaken you to the essence of your being.

This 2-day online-immersion is for people who want to discover that the art of 'doing nothing' can lead to 'being more'! It will help you discover how Yoga Nidra is not only a practice of a technique but also as an utterly remarkable state of consciousness.

You will discover the difference between nidra and deep relaxation - and enjoy the benefits of both. You will explore the necessary preparations to set you up for a successful yoga nidra experience, and you’ll be taught the various ways to practice and also how to anchor your experience - honouring that this is a process that can transform your life.

During our time together our focus will be on the healing, spiritual awakening and self-empowerment aspect of Dru Yoga Nidra.

You'll be lead by Nanna Coppens, Padma MacIntyre, Rita Goswami and Andrew Wells. Nanna brings her vast experience in yoga therapeutics and restorative yoga, Padma her profound, compassionate understanding of how yoga can restore health in every aspect of life. Rita's huge knowledge of yoga vedanta will help you understand just why yoga nidra consciousness is so very powerful, and Andrew brings his experience pioneering Dru detraum techniques in post-conflict zones.

With them, you'll discover how yoga nidra is a life-changing tool that brings resilience and ease to the body, mind and spirit.

Yoga nidra is now offered by the NHS and health professionals for boosting health and wellbeing.

Important health note:
Please note that these techniques are powerful and are not recommended for people with medically significant mental health conditions (eg PTSD etc) unless you work one-on-one with a yoga therapist.

You will learn more than you could imagine - about yoga postures, philosophy, anatomy & physiology, yourself and the relationship you have with yourself, the world and others - and so much more. The course is really well structured and balanced across different areas of teaching. The whole of the teaching team are totally amazing - supportive, full of wisdom and knowledge and I feel really grateful for the last couple of years. The course will go quicker than you think - make the most of this opportunity.  Thank you!
