Deb Ryan

Dru Yoga and Meditation teacher; Dru Yoga Teacher Trainer, Dru head office manager

When I began my yogic journey one of the first books I read was the Bhagavad Gita and once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down!
Here in these ancient 700 verses was the answer to every question I had ever wanted an answer to.
From personal problems to spiritual development, after forming a relationship with the Gita, I knew I had made a friend for LIFE!

Astoria Barr

Dru PR/Marketing Manager; Dru Meditation Teacher

The Bhagavad Gita has been the most profound book I have ever read! It has helped me live a life focused on spirituality and to stay on track with my personal growth. I read the Bhagavad Gita whenever I really want to change the way Im thinking.

My experience with the Bhagavad Gita started when I wrote an essay on the Gita at University for a comparative religious unit. I remember how much I loved learning about the four different types of yoga. But I only really began to understand the preciousness of its' teachings during my Dru Yoga Teacher Training when my yoga teacher taught me about the wisdom of the Gita in way that spoke deeply to my heart. As a result I was so inspired I bought the Dru Bhagavad Gita books, the Gita DVDs and then the Gita online course. I went onto coordinate national readings of the Bhagavad Gita by our Dru graduates on Gita Jayanti celebrations and then I supported on four Bhagavad Gita retreats in the UK. I have also had the privileged of being taught about the Gita by some of our founding Dru teachers including Mansukh Patel, John Jones and Rita Goswami. I am indebted to these teachers for fostering a love affair with eternal truth.
